Tell us whether you need to replace an existing controller, simplify operation or control several spaces. Describe who will use the system and which functions matter, such as temperature adjustment or an operating schedule.

A controller’s appearance does not establish what it can do with your system. Features depend on both the controller and the connected equipment.

Provide the indoor and outdoor model numbers together with the current controller reference. Wiring, communication interfaces and any required adapters need to be checked against the relevant product documentation.

Remote access, app operation and integration with other systems should be confirmed for the proposed combination. They are not features of every controller. Daikin’s control-system overview describes its different control ranges.

• Photographs of labels and available system documentation.

Compatibility needs to be checked first. Do not assume that a thermostat intended for one type of equipment can replace a controller on another system.
