Ductwork connects an air-conditioning system with the spaces it serves. Coolwell handles enquiries for duct design, fabrication and installation, with attention to the building layout, equipment requirements and practical site access.

A ductwork brief should show more than the positions of supply grilles. It should also identify the return-air route, equipment location, available ceiling space and access for servicing. Share architectural and ceiling drawings where available.

For an existing installation, explain the problem you want to address—for example, a layout change or rooms with uneven airflow. Inspection helps distinguish a ductwork requirement from an equipment or controls issue.

Duct design and equipment selection need to be considered together. The unit’s airflow and available external static pressure are model-specific design inputs; they should be checked against the relevant manufacturer data and the proposed air-distribution layout.

Agree the required drawings, fabrication, installation, insulation, supports and access provisions in the project scope. Ceiling alterations and other trades may also need coordination.

• Plans showing rooms, ceiling layout and proposed equipment positions.
• Selected indoor-unit model and technical data, if already approved.
• Whether the work is new construction, modification or replacement.
• Photographs, access limitations and details of any existing airflow concern.

Reuse should be assessed against the proposed system and layout. Condition, access and the new requirement matter; the presence of existing ductwork does not establish that it is suitable for a replacement unit.
